Former United States Navy Rescue Swimmer and Door-Gunner

Taylor Grieger, a former United States Navy rescue swimmer and door-gunner (2010-2016), served with distinction at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 (HSC-25) in Guam, completing four deployments across the Asia-Pacific region. His missions, ranging from security operations in Brunei alongside the U.S. Secret Service to humanitarian aid in the aftermath of typhoons in the Northern Marianas and the Philippines, have showcased his dedication and versatility. Transitioning from military to civilian life, Taylor confronted the challenge of PTSD. His personal struggles and the loss of close comrades to suicide galvanized him to embark on a daring journey to navigate Cape Horn, “the Mt. Everest of the seas,” to bring attention to the veteran suicide crisis. His voyage culminated in the creation of the impactful documentary “Hell or High Seas.” Post-expedition, Taylor’s mission evolved to introduce adventure therapy (AT) sailing programs for veterans reintegrating into civilian life. He traverses the nation, visiting military bases to educate and support active-duty personnel on managing post-traumatic stress physiologically and fostering a healthy life with PTS. In addition to his advocacy and educational endeavors, Taylor founded Cape Horn Tequila, an enterprise funding sailing expeditions that empower veterans worldwide. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to service have made him a sought-after keynote speaker, sharing insights from his seafaring exploits and life lessons with diverse audiences.
